An all time great book by another all time great author.

The book cover alone is pleasing. I don’t enjoy being judged by what I’m reading and some covers can be off putting. With this book that’s not a problem, plus once you finish it the cover makes sense.

1984 was published in 1949, but it’s scary how it applies to the present, especially with the current political landscape. Orwell does very well to map out a fantasy that feels very real.

Reading this made me appreciate the power of the mind and why it’s so important to have freedom of thought. We all succumb to wanting to control how people think, but really that’s what makes us human.

The mind is the most powerful thing every human being has.

100% worth the read even if you’ve read it before, you’ll appreciate it more than ever.
