Catch 22 by Joseph Heller

Still trying to finish my current book so here’s another one for you.(I’m really bad at looking after my books)

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller

I liked this book so much, I asked for it for Christmas and read it again 😂

It’s based in WWII and it’s about this soldier who has to prove he’s insane to go home, but if you claim you’re insane then you’re not, because by their theory an insane person wouldn’t know they’re insane 😂. So a catch 22.

And yes you guessed it this is where the phrase comes from. And the book has a lot more of these catch 22s.

Apart from its humour it also highlights how shit it was being a soldier back then. The army is based around a hierarchical system and a lot of the times it’s just the blind leading the blind.

If you read it look out for a character called Major Major Major Major who is basically a parody LOL.

Have you read this? What do you think? It’s one of the fictional classics that aren’t as popular for some reason.
